Birth Doula Workshop Fees-The fee for the birth doula workshop (including the intro to childbirth) is $520.  The Early Bird discount of $45 applies to those who register and paid in full before by 8 weeks prior to the start date.  While sometimes there are last-minute spots in a workshop(even the day before), it’s always best to get registered as soon as possible to ensure space. Late registrations are accepted space permitting, but incur an additional fee if within 1 weeks of workshop start date.  NOTE** We use paypal or square cash to process our credit/debit transactions.  You may pay with your paypal balance, paypal credit, a debit or credit card.  For square cash users, payments can be sent directly to $MelissaHarley, after paper registration has been received (email Melissa for this option).

Continuing Education Workshop Fees-The fee for continuing education workshops are $75 regular, $85 late.

Workshop Minimums- For some workshops there is a minimum number of participants required and it is possible that if enough registrations are not received by three weeks prior, the workshop could be canceled.   Please contact Melissa directly for alternate payment plan if needed.

Baby Policy- At CCDS we value the importance of moms and babies being together! For this reason, babies under 6 months and non-mobile can attend with you! *Be prepared to meet your babies needs, ensuring that all participants can learn without distractions.

Children Policy- As this is a professional learning environment, children are not permitted to attend with workshop participants.  Doula students (registered) under the age of 18 are permitted but should be pre-approved by the instructor after a brief conversation about content and expectations.  Please do not bring unregistered children or others to the workshop with you.

Breastfeeding Policy- Nurslings over 6 months are welcome to be brought in for feedings by a caretaker, however,  due to their increased needs and the needs of our adult learning environment, they do need to be cared for outside of the workshop space in-between feedings.

Pumping Policy- Pumping is always welcome at any time (during sessions, on breaks, at lunch etc.) to meet the needs of our nursing attendees.

Refund Policy-If you need to cancel your registration more than three weeks prior to the workshop, you will receive a refund minus our non-refundable deposit fee of $150.00. There will be no refunds within three weeks of the start of the workshop unless there is a waiting list and your space is filled. We do not offer refunds for workshops that are changed to alternative dates, the 3-week policy applies to the originally scheduled workshop date.

Transfer Policy-Participants may move a registration to another person for a fee of $25.  Participants who wish to reschedule their workshop (within the 3-week window) may do so for a $75 transfer fee.  Transfers must be requested at least 1 week prior to workshop start and must be scheduled within one year from original date of workshop.   There is no guarantee about the location of future workshops, and travel of participant may be necessary.

Workshop Cancellation Policy- At times, it becomes necessary to cancel a workshop due to low attendance.  It is for this reason that if you are planning on attending a workshop that you register as soon as possible.  If Capital City Doula Services finds it necessary to cancel a workshop, full refunds will be provided to all participants.   

Group Discounts-Everyone wins when we train more doulas! The more doulas we have out there, the more moms that are having better birth experiences! Do you have several friends that might want to learn to be a doula? Are you good at getting the word out and helping the host and trainer advertise and build the workshop? If so, you could benefit as discounts are often given based on the number of participants! Photo Policy-At times, we will take photographs or video of the workshop to share with other participants, include on our group facebook page, or for promotional purposes.  Participants always have the option to opt out of video or photos and we will gladly honor that request, just let Melissa know!
